Laxman, a member of the Rajya Sabha, asserted that the Congress is actively pushing for the triumph of AIMIM President and incumbent MP Asaduddin Owaisi in the upcoming elections slated for next month.

Allegations flew as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP K. Laxman accused the ruling Congress in Telangana of striking a clandestine pact with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) to secure victory in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Laxman, a member of the Rajya Sabha, asserted that the Congress is actively pushing for the triumph of AIMIM President and incumbent MP Asaduddin Owaisi in the upcoming elections slated for next month.

Speaking to the press, Laxman painted a picture of fear and insecurity looming over the Congress as the elections draw nearer. He lambasted the party for its failure to fulfill the assurances it made during the Assembly elections, particularly its inability to deliver on its promise of waiving farm loans, which has reportedly stoked the ire of farmers.

According to Laxman, the Congress's tactic of intertwining all assurances with the Lok Sabha elections has sowed seeds of doubt among the populace. He criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for alleging a conspiracy against him, suggesting it was a ploy to deflect attention and garner public sympathy.

Confident in the BJP's campaign prowess, Laxman expressed assurance that the party would clinch the majority of Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and eventually seize power in the state whenever elections are called.

He also took a swipe at leaders of the BRS, remarking on their lingering arrogance despite the setback in the Assembly elections. When asked about potential candidate changes in Telangana, Laxman clarified that the BJP had no such plans.
