Bengaluru Cafe Blast Arrest Sparks Political Sparring Between BJP and TMC

The arrested individuals in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case in Bengaluru, apprehended from West Bengal, have ignited a political dispute in the state. The BJP alleges that the TMC-led government has transformed West Bengal into a sanctuary for terrorists, citing this incident. However, the TMC and West Bengal Police counter by asserting that the NIA made the arrests in collaboration with state authorities.

The disputed location of the arrests, Kanthi, known for its association with BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari's family, further fueled the controversy. Ghosh urged authorities to investigate the alleged involvement of Adhikari's family in the incident.

Refuting BJP's claims, West Bengal Police emphasized their proactive efforts in collaboration with central intelligence agencies, underscoring the state's commitment to thwarting terrorism. They clarified that the suspects were arrested from Purba Medinipur in a joint operation.

The NIA confirmed the arrest of two suspects, including the alleged mastermind, in the Rameshwaram cafe blast case. Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa were apprehended near Kolkata by an NIA team.
