The local authorities sealed the bakery of Moin Khan, a prominent leader of the Samajwadi Party, following allegations against him of gangraping a minor girl in Ayodhya.
The bakery of Khan was raided by officials from the Food Safety Department on Saturday. Officials seized the eatables of the bakery for examination and sealed the shop. Moin Khan is accused of having carried out the attack within the same bakery.
The matter was raised by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in State Assembly who outrightly criticized Samajwadi Party for doing nothing against their member. He said no culprit would be spared.
Yesterday, Yogi Adityanath met with the family of the victim and assured them of strict action against accused persons. After his assurance, proceedings were started against Moin Khan.
Moin Khan of the area has allegedly sexually assaulted the young girl at his bakery, along with his servant, in the Purakalandar police station area of Ayodhya.
He happens to be pretty close to the Samajwadi Party MP from Faizabad, one Awadhesh Prasad.
The in-charge of the Purakalandar police station, Ratan Sharma, and the in-charge of Bhadarsa outpost, Akhilesh Gupta, have already been suspended from their jobs following the scandal.
Furthermore, the SDM Sohawal, accompanied by revenue officials, has started the measurement of the land and assets owned by the accused leader. The Chief Minister has reassured the mother of the victim that an investigation of Khan's properties is going to be done and, in case of any illegal holding, stringent action shall be taken against them.
