"Operation Sindoor is not yet over. in this operation, we have informed Pakistan that continuing terrorism against India won't be accepted and the response will go from bad to worse," Singh stated, reaffirming India's strong commitment on cross-border terrorism.

The operation was conducted by Indian military personnel in the night of May 6-7 and aimed at terror installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It was initiated in response to the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22, in which 26 individuals lost their lives, the majority of them tourists.

Singh termed Operation Sindoor as an extension of India's previous counter-terror operations—the 2016 surgical strikes and the 2019 Balakot airstrikes—and stated that it reaffirmed India's policy of zero tolerance to terrorism.

"Operation Sindoor was a natural progression of 2016 surgical strike and 2019 air strike (across the border). We conveyed to Pakistan that its policy of thousand cuts against India will not succeed," he said.

He also cautioned, "Any attack on Indian soil by a terror group will be disastrous for Pakistan. India will take any kind of action against terrorism."
