Admittedly, in a recent incident, West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose has expressed his concern over another person being smuggled into Raj Bhavan in Kolkata, following a complaint made by a woman staff member against him for misconduct.
In an audio message, Governor Bose admitted that a confidential report has reached Raj Bhavan to the effect that another person was being smuggled into the office by political forces with the machination to cause harm.
He said these were purely political gimmicks prior to elections. His assurance to the staff was that the matter was under investigation by the concerned authorities, and they should be cautious.
Unconcerned by the efforts to blacken his name, Governor Bose reaffirmed his commitment to fighting corruption and violence. He believed that truth would come out and a person wrongly labeled as a miscreant would get exonerated. He fought his baseless charges and wished well to those who tried to exploit the situation for electoral gains.
Continuing to be attacked by the Governor, the Trinamool Congress was not detained by the immunity clause bestowed upon him under Article 361 of the Constitution during his tenure.
The State Ministers Dr. Sashi Panja and Chandrima Bhattacharya have expressed doubt over the justification of giving such immunity when there are the allegations being levelled against him. State Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya also claimed her right to visit Raj Bhavan premises even when the officers have tried to keep her out.
