Addressing a gathering at the National Creators' Awards ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his commitment that he would once again preside over such an event on the occasion of Shivratri next year.
Amidst the fervent chants of "abki bar 400 paar" from the audience, the prime minister clarified that it wasn't just his assurance but the collective aspiration of 140 crore Indians.
Earlier, Modi had predicted that in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure 370 seats, with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossing the 400 mark.
Highlighting the proximity of the Lok Sabha polls, Modi reiterated on Friday, "I assure you that on the next Shivratri, albeit on a different date, I will be the one leading such an event."
"I did not bring up the issue of the Lok Sabha polls in that sense, because I believe that you feel strongly for me. You feel strongly for me as I live for you. There are many people willing to die for those who live for others," he said.
Modi also emphasized his conviction that the people of India are his extended family.
Encouraging content creators, the prime minister urged them to educate the youth and first-time voters, emphasizing that elections are not merely about victory or defeat but about citizens actively participating in shaping the nation's destiny.
He underscored the global trend towards democracy, noting that despite varied paths to prosperity, many nations eventually embraced democratic governance.
"India has taken the resolve to become a developed country by taking pride in 100 per cent democracy," Modi asserted.
He outlined the crucial role of youth in shaping India's global image and emphasized leveraging the power of social media to empower differently-abled individuals.
With the Lok Sabha elections expected to take place in April-May, Modi's call to action resonates strongly in the political landscape.
