Tejashwi Yadav was the only one among his siblings not married as he wanted to focus on his political career first. The older sister of Tejashwi, Rohini Acharya took to her Instagram handle and congratulated the couple while sharing a bunch of pictures on her Twitter handle and captioned it with Tejashwi Yadav and Rachel Godinho - and wished them "a lifetime of happiness".

Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, got married to long-term Delhi-based friend Rachel Godinho on Thursday at Delhi’s Sainik Farms. The couple who knows each other for more than 7 years exchanged vows in the presence of close family members and friends.

Images showed Tejashwi and his bride participating in wedding rituals in the presence of their family members, including the RJD leader's mother and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.

Tejashwi, 32, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar assembly is the youngest sibling among his 9 siblings. He has seven sisters and an older brother, Tej Pratap, who is separated.

"We are overjoyed. Tejashwi is the only one left (among the nine children of Lalu-Rabri) to get married," said Bhai Virendra, RJD MLA and the party's chief spokesperson in Bihar.

The couple avoided a big fat ceremony as at a time the nation is on alert over rising Omicron cases.
