In the video clip, Foreign Minister Jaishankar says, "America's dominance, which began after the end of the Cold War, has effectively come to an end."

In an interview, Jaishankar highlighted a number of global challenges from the intensifying battle between different sides in Ukraine and Gaza, the rising tensions in strategic maritime regions, such as the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and the dispute in the South China Sea, to the global threat of terrorism.

He also listed India's border dispute with China along the Line of Actual Control, adding that similar problems were happening between China and other countries. All of these, Jaishankar said, had been taking place with a view to the waning influence of the United States to act as a counterweight.

Jaishankar traced many of the above problems to how manufacturing and technology had become concentrated in some regions, creating economic disparities and increasing unemployment globally. He said that this risk could be avoided only by dispersing technological hubs.

Furthermore, Jaishankar said emerging technologies would bring about a sea change in the world: artificial intelligence, drones, electric vehicles, and clean energy solutions. The global order today, according to Jaishankar, was in a major transition phase.
