Successful Flight Test Marks Milestone for Agni-Prime Ballistic Missile

The ministry further elaborated that the test-run impeccably fulfilled all the predefined trial objectives, confirming its dependable performance. This validation was derived from the comprehensive data acquired through a network of range sensors strategically positioned at various locations.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted the collaborative effort between the Strategic Forces Command (SFC) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in orchestrating the successful flight test of Agni-Prime. The test, which took place at approximately 1900 hours on April 3, emanated from APJ Abdul Kalam Island.

The launch event was witnessed by eminent dignitaries including the Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Strategic Forces Command, and senior officials from DRDO and the Indian Army.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his heartfelt congratulations to DRDO, SFC, and the Armed Forces for the seamless execution of the test. He emphasized that the successful development and integration of the missile will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces, serving as a formidable force multiplier.
