Security Breach Outcry: INDIA Bloc Leaders March from Parliament to Vijay Chowk, Criticizing Government

Members of the INDIA bloc in India's Parliament marched from Parliament to Vijay Chowk on Thursday to protest the suspension of 143 MPs. They criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for speaking outside the House, considering it a breach of privilege.

The MPs, who began their march from the old Parliament building, raised slogans against the government and carried placards with messages like '141 MPs suspended, is this the mother of democracy.' Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the media during the protest, expressing dissatisfaction with the government's approach.

Kharge criticized the government for not allowing the House to function smoothly and accused the Chairman of raising the mimicry issue along caste lines. He emphasized the democratic right to express the feelings of the people in Parliament and expressed concern about the security breach in the Lok Sabha.

Kharge also criticized Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah for not addressing the House but speaking outside it. He deemed it disrespectful and a breach of privilege, highlighting the violation of rules.

The Congress leader condemned the disruption of Parliament proceedings by the ruling party and criticized the Parliamentary Affairs Minister and 120 MPs for standing in Rajya Sabha and shouting slogans, indicating a lack of faith in democracy.

The protest follows the suspension of 143 MPs during the Winter Session, with two more MPs suspended on Thursday. The opposition bloc has planned a nationwide protest on December 22, including a demonstration at Jantar Mantar and a march towards Parliament, to protest the suspension of MPs.
