The Aero India 2023 international air show is set to witness an exciting display of Russia's advanced military hardware, as state arms seller Rosoboronexport has announced plans to showcase several cutting-edge aircraft and weapons systems at the event, news agency Tass reported.
The show, which runs from February 13th to 17th in Bangalore, India, will be a platform for the company to demonstrate its latest offerings to the world.
Visitors to the air show can expect to see Russia's most advanced military hardware on display, including the top-of-the-line fifth-generation Su-57E multirole fighter and the nimble Checkmate light tactical fighter. The showcase will also include the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport plane, the Il-78MK-90A aerial refueling tanker, the Su-35 and Su-30SME supermaneuverable fighters, and the versatile MiG-35D multirole frontline fighter.
"Rosoboronexport will feature about 200 types of the most advanced Russian-made armaments and military hardware, including the Su-57E top-notch fifth-generation multirole fighter and the Checkmate light tactical aircraft," the state arms seller said.

Another highlight of the Rosoboronexport display will be the Ka-226T light utility helicopter, which is being produced as part of the Make in India program through the Indo-Russian Helicopters Limited joint venture, a partnership between Russian and Indian industrial companies. Additionally, the company will feature the upgraded Ka-52E and Mi-28NE combat helicopters, as well as the highly sought-after Mi-171Sh military transport rotorcraft.
For the first time abroad, Russia will be showcasing its Orlan-30 reconnaissance drone at the Aero India 2023 air show. The Orlan-30, which is engineered and produced by the Special Technology Center, is a follow-up to the popular Orlan-10 UAV and is designed for conducting aerial reconnaissance, as well as providing target designation for precision-guided weapons. The company will also display its Orion-E reconnaissance/strike UAV and the Orlan-10E reconnaissance UAV.
Russia will also be demonstrating its advanced anti-drone systems at the show, including the Repellent, RLK-MCE, RB-504P-E, and RB-504A-E. In the air defense segment, Rosoboronexport will showcase a wide range of assets that can operate as standalone systems or as part of an echeloned air defense network. The S-350E Vityaz air defense missile system, the Viking, Tor-M2KM, Tor-M2E surface-to-air missile systems, the Pantsyr-S1 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun/missile system, the Igla-S, and the Verba man-portable air defense systems will all be on display.
In addition to the anti-drone systems, the company will showcase the Repellent-Patrul mobile jamming station, which provides site protection by suppressing drones at a distance of up to 20 km. The system can detect drones and suppress their control and navigation channels by powerful barrage jamming or directional interference.

Russia has been an active participant in the Aero India international air show, which is held once every two years, and has previously showcased over 200 military products at Aero India 2021.
