Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the revamped Central Vista Avenue, on Thursday. The Central Vista redevelopment project is a dream project of the Modi government. The entire stretch from Vijay Chowk to India Gate will be open for the public after 20 months. However, the entire stretch will be thrown open to the public from September 9 onwards. Central Vista Avenue stretches from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. Work on its redevelopment had begun in February 2021 and was supposed to be completed by December 2021. However, after some delays, it is all set to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on September 8. The refurbished Central Vista Avenue along the Rajpath will have state-wise food stalls, red granite walkways with greenery all around, vending zones, parking lots, and round-the-clock security. Here we bring to you, all that you need to know about the newly revamped Central Vista Avenue:
1. The redeveloped Central vista Avenue along the Rajpath will have red granite walkways, greenery, parking lots and round-the-clock security, vending zones, and state-wise food stalls.
2. The Central Public Works Department, has set up 5 vending zones with around 40 vendors each. They will not be allowed to sell their items to visitors in the garden area.
3. Reportedly, there would be two blocks near the India Gate, and each block would have 8 shops, adding that some states had expressed interest in setting up their food stalls.
4. The revamped project will include 16 bridges on the entire stretch. Boating will be allowed in two canals -- one near Vanijya Bhawan and another one around Krishi Bhawan.
5. Greenery has been developed along the Rajpath with an area spreading 3.9 lakh square meters. Parking space for 1,125 vehicles has been created in the entire stretch. Parking space has been created near the India Gate for 35 buses.

6. For security, 300 advanced CCTV cameras will be installed for live monitoring and artificial intelligence algorithms will be used for preventive security.
7. In the revamped Central Vista Avenue Vendors will not be allowed to sell their items to visitors in the garden area. Ice cream carts will only be allowed in the vending zones

8. PM Modi will inaugurate the stretch of the road on September 8, however, visitors will not be allowed on the stretch from the India Gate to Man Singh Road on the day of the inauguration, but they can use the remaining part. The entire stretch will be thrown open to the general public from September 9.

10. The central vista redevelopment project will consist of a new Parliament building, a common Central Secretariat, a Central Vista Avenue, a new Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister's residence as well as a new Vice President enclave.
