President Droupadi Murmu took an important step forward when she landed in Ayodhya on Wednesday and headed straight to the recently constructed Ram Temple to offer her prayers.
Governor Anandiben Patel and UP Minister Surya Pratap Shahi received her at the airport and thus, her awe-inspiring visit began.
With unconditional devotion, the President made her way straight from the airport to get her blessings at the hallowed Hanuman Garhi Temple and then head for the magnificent Ram Temple.
The day ahead will see President Murmu attend the serene Saryu Maha Aarti, a religious experience which would make her visit worthwhile, before she leaves Ayodhya and heads back to the capital city of Delhi.
After her predecessor, Ram Nath Kovind, prayed to the god in 2021, Droupadi Murmu is the third President to visit Ayodhya and the second to pay respects to Ram Lalla.
In 1983, President Giani Zail Singh had also travelled to Ayodhya. He then offered prayers at Kanak Bhawan and Hanuman Garhi.
