Postponement of Prime Minister Modi's Bhutan Trip Blamed on Weather

The anticipated State visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bhutan has encountered a delay due to adverse weather conditions, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday. Originally slated for March 21-22, Modi's trip to Bhutan forms a crucial component of India's 'Neighbourhood First Policy'.

Meanwhile, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tobgay recently concluded a significant five-day visit to India, commencing last Thursday, marking his inaugural foreign trip since assuming office in January. During his stay, Tobgay held discussions with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi, in addition to engaging with key figures from various industries and participating in several important engagements.
