India's government asserted that all nine targets were hit with precision, without inflicting any injury to civilian or military targets within Pakistan.

The bombings were in response to the ill-fated terror bombing on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir which killed 25 Indians and a Nepalese national.

The operation was a thought-out Indian move to capture the perpetrators of the attack and go on with the utmost care not to let tensions rise further. Top officials and Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept an eye on the progress of the operation throughout the night.

Sources indicated that the Prime Minister remained in close contact with national security advisors and military strategists to guarantee the operation's success and smooth execution. His personal engagement with the operation consolidated the significance of the mission and the firm position of the government against combating terrorism.
