India logs 70K Covid cases, lowest since March 31 and 3,921 deaths

On June 13, India recorded 80,834 cases. India's overall tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2,95,10,410. The active cases have come down below 10 lakh. The country has 9,73,158 active cases presently and has witnessed 3,74,305 deaths so far. According to the Health Ministry, a total of 1,19,501 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours

No cyber breach into NIC email system: Centre

The clarification comes on the backdrop of reports on impact of data breaches in organisations such as Air India, Big Basket and Domino's which claimed that these breaches have exposed email accounts and passwords of NIC emails to the hackers. "In view of this it is important to clarify that firstly, there has been no cyber breach into the email system of the Government of India maintained by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
'In depth disappearance': Car vanishes down well in Mumbai

UP on verge of breaking own record for wheat procurement

The state has so far purchased around 51.05 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of the crop, benefiting more than 11.54 lakh farmers since its commencement on April 1. While the figure for the corresponding period in the procurement season 2020-21 was just 29.92 LMT. Officials said that they may cross the all-time high record procurement of 52.92 LMT, made in 2018-19.
