'No putting up of tweets', Supreme Court grants 5-day interim bail to Zubair

A vacation bench comprising Justices Indira Banerjee and J.K. Maheshwari said the relief is subject to the condition that he will not move out of the jurisdiction of the Delhi court (which is dealing with a separate FIR), and the petitioner will not put up any tweets. The bench added that Zubair shall not tamper with electronic evidence.
Modi shocked by attack on 'dear friend' Shinzo Abe

Taking to Twitter, Modi said: "Deeply distressed by the attack on my dear friend Abe Shinzo. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and the people of Japan." Abe, who was Japan's longest-serving Prime Minister, collapsed after he was shot at while addressing an election rally in Nara city on Friday, state media said in a report, adding that the police have arrested a 41-year-old suspect.
India logs 18,815 new Covid cases, 38 deaths

During the same period, 38 fatalities took the nationwide death toll to 5,25,343. Meanwhile, the active caseload has also risen to 1,22,335 cases, accounting for 0.28 per cent of the total positive cases. The recovery of 15,899 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,29,37,876. Consequently, the recovery rate stands at 98.51 per cent.

The active caseload increased to 1,19,457, accounting for 0.27 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The recovery of 14,650 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,29,21,977. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.52 per cent. The daily positivity rate also marginally increased to 4.32 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 3.86 per cent.

The counsel contended before the bench that a complaint was made to the police but no action has been taken so far against her. The bench told the counsel, "Why mention it before the vacation bench? Mention it before the registrar."
IAF gets highest number of job applications under Agnipath scheme

It has received a total of 7,49,899 job applications under the new recruitment scheme -- the highest number in any recruitment cycle till now. Earlier, the highest number of applications received was 6,31,528 in any recruitment cycle, according to IAF. "Compared to 6,31,528 applications in the past, which was the highest in any recruitment cycle, this time 7,49,899 applications have been received", said IAF in a tweet after the registrations process ended.
