India, Australia joint military exercise begins from Monday
A special brigade of the Australian Army has arrived in India to take part in the military exercise. This is the first exercise in the series of AUSTRA HIND with the participation of all arms and services contingent from both armies. The joint military exercise by the Indian and Australian armed forces will start from November 28 and it will last up to December 11, a defence ministry official informed this on Sunday.
Smog envelops Delhi, AQI remains in 'very poor' category
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the concentration of both PM 2.5 and PM 10 in the environment was recorded at 315 and 210 under "very poor" and "poor category" respectively. As per the SAFAR forecast, the city's air quality will further deteriorate with AQI escalating to 326 in the "very poor category" on Monday.
Navy launches new survey vessel 'Ikshak'
As per the Ministry of Defence, 'Ikshak' made her first contact with the water of Bay of Bengal at 10.40 a.m. at the launch ceremony graced by the Vice Admiral M.A. Hampiholi, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command. In keeping with the Naval maritime tradition, Madhumati Hampiholi, spouse of M.A. Hampiholi, launched the ship to the chanting of invocation from Atharva Veda.

The Chief Justice, speaking at the Constitution Day celebrations at the Supreme Court, said: "We have been adopting technology to improve the working of courts. It is of supreme importance and necessity that courts are remodelled to reach out to people instead of people reaching out to courts in their quest for justice. "All judges across courts in India, ranging from district courts to the Supreme Court must reflect upon the constitutional vision of securing justice, equality and liberty," he said.
ISRO to launch navigation, Aditya satellites: Chairman
Speaking to the reporters here, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman S. Somanath said the space agency has chalked up plans to fly all its rockets with various satellites in the coming months. The rockets are: Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk (GSLV), LVM3 or GSLV MkIII and Small Satellite LaunchVehicle (SSLV). Somanath said next year the commercial arm NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL) has contracted two launches.
