Delhi L-G grants prosecution sanction against Shehla Rashid for tweets against Indian Army

The tweets were aimed at promoting enmity between different groups and indulging in acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, said the L-G office on Tuesday. The L-G has granted the prosecution sanction under the relevant section 196 of CrPC 1973.
Delhi gets relief from cold; fog affects visibility

At Safdarjung observatory, the minimum temperature of 6.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in the morning while the weather stations at Lodhi Road, Ayanagar and Ridge recorded a minimum temperature of 6.4 degrees, 4.2 degrees and 4.3 degrees, respectively. Due to the very dense fog, around 39 trains were delayed by two to five hours, as per the officials.
Sasikala urges DMK govt to buy sugarcane of all sizes for Pongal hampers

Sasikala said that the size of the sugarcane is based on the soil from where it was grown and that it was not in the hands of the farmers. The former AIADMK general secretary said that the government must not stick to the fixing of the size of sugarcane and buy sugarcane of all sizes from the farmers. It is to be noted that the state government was buying sugarcane from farmers at a rate of Rs 33 per piece.
Air quality dips to 'severe' at many places in Delhi-NCR, bar on commercial BS-III, BS-IV vehicles

With the air quality worsening, the Delhi government on Monday decided to impose a temporary ban on using BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers in the national capital from Tuesday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi deteriorated to 395 under the "very poor" category, with some parts of the national capital recording AQIs over 400 or "severe".

NSG team sent to detect suspicious substance onboard Goa-bound flight

Jamnagar Superintendent of Police, Premsukh Delu told the media, "NSG team and local Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams are detecting the entire flight, only after the NSG gives clearance, the flight will be allowed to take off from Jamnagar and it is likely to take more time, as entire flight and passengers baggage is to be cleared by the teams."
