Indian fighter jets welcomed in Japan with water cannon salute

A traditional water cannon salute was given to the IAF's frontline Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft, four of which are participating, along with two C-17s and one IL-78, in Exercise 'Veer Guardian-2023' to be held till January 26. The Indian contingent also includes Squadron Leader Avani Chaturvedi who is the first IAF woman fighter pilot to participate in an air exercise abroad.

Singh had sought listing of a matter connected with the allotment of chambers to lawyers. Initially, the CJI said that he will try to list the matter. No role for US on India-China border row, says diplomat

India successfully test-fires SRBM Prithvi-II

The missile struck its target with high accuracy. The user training launch successfully validated all operational and technical parameters of the missile, a Defence Ministry official said, adding that the the Prithvi-II, a well-established system, has been an integral part of India's nuclear deterrence. The test was also carried out in Odisha and the range of the missile can be further increased based on the results of the testing.
Russian flight lands in Goa safely after bomb hoax

Goa-bound flight from Moscow made an emergency landing in Jamnagar airport on Monday night at 9.30 p.m. following the bomb threat. It was diverted to Jamnagar after an email warning of a bomb in the flight was received. After landing at Dabolim airport in Goa, the Russian tourists said that they are lucky to be safe.
