Chandrayaan-3: Countdown for India’s third moon mission progressing smoothly

“The countdown is progressing smoothly. The 48 hour weather forecast is also good. The rocket systems are being checked. The rocket is expected to fly away as scheduled on Friday at 2.35 p.m.” a senior Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) official, who did not want to be named, told IANS.

Delhi flood: Schools, colleges to remain shut till Sunday

Speaking to the media, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "A meeting of DDMA was held, and it was chaired by Lt. Governor (V.K. Saxena) and several decisions were taken." Kejriwal said, "During the meeting it was decided that schools, colleges and universities will remain closed till Sunday."
Jaishankar, Russian FM Lavrov discuss economic issues, Ukraine war

Jaishankar met Lavrov on the sidelines of the ASEAN-India ministerial meeting, which is taking place in the Indonesian capital.
Defence Acquisition Council gives approval to buy 26 Rafale-Marine jets, 3 subs

Earlier, the proposals were discussed during high-level meetings at the Defence Ministry, following which they were place before the Council headed by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Last year, the naval version of Rafale fighter jets from France and American F/A-18 Super Hornet had both demonstrated their operational capabilities.

The Central Water Commission had predicted a significant increase in the river's water level by Wednesday night, but it crossed that level before the expected time. It had suggested that the water level would increase to 207.90 meters by the morning of July 13, but the level has already exceeded 208 meters.

SC says extension to ED Director Mishra illegal, permits him to continue till July 31

The court, however, allowed him to continue in the post till July 31 taking into consideration the concerns expressed by the Union government. The term of ED director was set to end in November 2023. "Extension granted to Sanjay Kumar Mishra after Supreme Court verdict is illegal. However, he is permitted to hold office till July 31, 2023," the Court ordered.
