The demonstrations, held at US Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland, showed that the Super Hornet would do well with the Indian Navy's Short Takeoff but Arrested Recovery (STOBAR), said Boeing.
Cybercrimes rise by 75% in Hyderabad during 2020
While there was a dip in most of the crime categories, cybercrime saw an increase compared to last year. The city recorded 2,456 cases of cybercrime against 1,400-odd last year. Police attributed this to more people using internet during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Direct air service begins between Shillong-Delhi
An Airport Authority of India (AAI) Press Release said that the flight services were inaugurated by Meghalaya Transport Minister S. Dhar. Legislator G.B. Lyngdoh, Regional Executive Director of AAI M.Suresh were present on the occasion. The maiden flight has landed Shillong Airport directly from New Delhi. The services have been started by Flybig airlines.
Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch district
Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district. The spokesman said Indian army retaliated befittingly. Monday's ceasefire violation by Pakistan was the third consecutive violation in the last three days along the LoC in J&K.

Jammu and Kashmir: Work on in full swing for India's first arch rail bridge
According to Northern Railway officials, the work on the Anji Bridge, which is coming up on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) section of Northern Railway in Jammu and Kashmir is in full swing. The bridge is being built on the Katra-Banihal railway line at village Kauri in the Reasi district.

Centre to form committee to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose
The committee will decide on the activities for a year long commemoration starting January 23 next year. The committee will be headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The commemoration is a tribute to Bose for his bravery and indelible contribution to resisting colonialism, standing up for the progress and wellbeing of his fellow Indians.

An NIA spokesperson in Delhi said, "NIA arrested 17 SDPI/PFI leaders/activists for their involvement in the violent attack and large-scale rioting at KG Halli Police Station in Bengaluru on August 11 this year following a Facebook post by Naveen, nephew of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy."
Covid-19 Update: After battling surge, Delhi's cases dip to three digits
The latest figures of the case tally now stands at 6,17,808 while the death toll has reached 10,304. Of the tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 34,288 were done through RT-PCR and 28,152 were Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT). The capital city has conducted 78,62,807 tests so far, according to the bulletin by the Delhi Health Department.
