PM reviews availability and supply of oxygen, medicines

The Prime Minister was informed that the government is in regular touch with the manufacturers to enhance production of medicines and extend all help needed. He was told that the government is actively monitoring the supply of drugs being used in the management of Covid as well as mucormycosis. He was also informed about the current production and stock of APIs for each such drug
Delhi reports 13,287 new Covid cases, positivity rate below 18%

Delhi had reported 12,481 cases on Tuesday while on Monday it reported 12,651 cases. The daily positivity rate in the national capital remained below 18 per cent for the second consecutive day at 17.03 per cent. The positivity rate in Delhi had remained above the 20 per cent-mark since April 17, before starting to gradually come down in the past few days.
No Covaxin left, received 2.67 lakh doses of Covishield: Delhi Government

"We had just 16,900 doses of Covaxin stock for today (Wednesday) which was administered and we have no Covaxin stock left for any centre. Now, Covaxin will not be administered at any vaccination centre from tomorrow until vaccine supply is received," said AAP MLA Atish, while giving details of the Delhi government's vaccination scheme to the press on Wednesday.
Maharashtra keeps vaccination of 18-44 age group on hold

The stocks would be diverted to carry out a seamless and hassle-free vaccination for the 45-plus age group category till adequate doses of the vaccines are made available. The decision came after a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Delhi court grants bail to Matrix Cellular CEO, VP in black marketing of oxygen concentrators

The order was passed by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Saket court, Arun Kumar Garg and bail was subjected to a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and surety of like amount. The court granted bail in case registered after a stock of oxygen concentrators was seized by the Delhi Police from locations in Lodhi Colony and Mehrauli last week. All five accused were arrested by the Delhi Police last week soon after the raids.
Centre continues sending global aid to states, Union Territories for Covid management

Probe ordered in 'mega-corruption' in Remdesivir supplies: CVC

Taking cognizance of a petition by Barrister Vinod Tiwari, the CVC has ordered the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers to investigate the issue in detail. In a communication to Tiwari dated May 11, the CVC has said that "the complaint has been duly examined by the Commission and having regards to the nature of the issues raised therein", it has been sent to the CVO of the ministry for a probe.
Bhima Koregaon case: SC dismisses activist Gautam Navlakha's bail plea

Navlakha had challenged the Bombay High Court's February 8 order, which declined to grant him bail, holding that the alleged illegal detention period cannot be considered to compute maximum 90 days' time, which is mandatory to file charge sheet, or the accused could get statutory bail.
