Operation Sindoor: Ajit Doval Refutes Foreign Media Claims, Asserts No Evidence of Damage in India

At a speech at IIT Madras, Doval attacked international reports claiming Pakistan retaliated following India's military action. He wondered how no picture or credible evidence of destruction within India ever came to light.

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Friday sharply condemned the foreign media's report on Operation Sindoor, questioning reports that Pakistan had caused any damage to India and challenging reporters to come up with tangible evidence.

At a speech at IIT Madras, Doval attacked international reports claiming Pakistan retaliated following India's military action. He wondered how no picture or credible evidence of destruction within India ever came to light.

Foreign media reported that Pakistan did this and that. You tell me one photo, one picture, which demonstrates any damage to any Indian (facility), even a glass window having been shattered," Doval said. "They wrote all these and released things."

With reference to the international media report on Operation Sindoor — India's precision military operation for neutralizing terrorist camps deep inside Pakistani borders — Doval drew attention to the fact that images from available satellites told a vastly different story.

"Even 13 air bases in Pakistan were shown in the images before and after 10th May, whether it was Sargodha or Rahim Yar Khan or Chaklala. I am just saying what the foreign media released based on images." he pointed out.

He also highlighted India's military might, suggesting that while the country had the capabilities of inflicting enormous damages on Pakistani defense installations, the attacks were calculated and held back.

"We can do that (sabotaging of Pakistani air bases.)" he declared emphatically, implying that the precision of the mission was intentional, not because of any constraints.

Sharing new insights into the operation, Doval lauded the technological advancement and indigenous capabilities that energized Operation Sindoor. He asserted that the operation was carried out solely with native capabilities.

"We need to create our indigenous technology. Reference to Sindoor was made here. We are actually proud of how much indigenous content there was," Doval said.

He also explained that the strikes weren't carried out near the border but against nine terror bases deep within Pakistan — and every single one of them was neutralized successfully.

We planned to have 9 terrorist targets in the criss-cross of Pakistan, it was not on the border areas. We didn't miss anyone. We struck nowhere but that. It was so specific to the point where we even knew who was where," he explained.

Reminding us of the speed with which the operation was carried out, he stated, "Entire operation took 23 minutes. You tell me one photograph that shows any Indian damage done. They wrote things, New York Times. but the pictures presented 13 air bases of Pakistan before and after 10th May."

Rolling out and being recognized on the evening of May 7, Operation Sindoor was one of the most audacious military crackdowns by India in recent times, showcasing both strategic acumen and precision in targeting the terror networks across the border.
