As the investigation is going forward in the heinous Shraddha Walkar muder case , allegedly by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala, shocking revelations are emerging day by day about this gruesome murder. On the 18th of May 2022, Shraddha was allegedly killed by her boyfriend Aaftab. He strangled her to death and later chopped her body into 35 pieces with the help of a hacksaw, stored them in a 300-liter fridge, and took nearly 18 days to dump the body parts across Mehrauli forest in Delhi. He killed Shraddha in their rented flat at Chattarpur pahadi. As he is under Delhi Police custody, several chilling details are emerging. According to the police, the accused had made up his mind to kill Shraddha more than a week before the murder, reported ANI. According to the media reports, he used to sleep in the same room where he had chopped the victim's body and used to see the face after keeping it in the fridge. The reason for the murder so far revealed is that Shraddha was pressurizing Aaftab for marriage and for this reason they used to have frequent arguments. According to Shraddha's friend Laxman Nadar, Aaftab used to beat her too and she complained about the same to her friends who had warned Aaftab. So far 13 body parts have been found, murder weapon and head of Shraddha have not yet been found.

Shraddha Walkar hailed from the financial capital of India, Mumbai. A rebel by heart, Shraddha lived at Sanskruti Complex, Vasai (West) with her parents and a younger brother. Her mother passed away in January 2020. She had a strained relationship with her father and left home for a live-in relationship with Aaftab in 2019 after her parents raised objections to her relationship with Aaftab. She was a BMM student at the Viva Institute of Technology, Vasai. She dropped out in her final year and worked as a customer service representative from April 2017 to March 2018. Shraddha Walkar's father is Vikas Madan Walker, who hails from Vasai, Maharashtra. He didn't have good relations with her daughter and didn't have any idea of Shraddha's shift to Delhi from Mumbai with her live-in partner till September 2022. In September, Shraddha's friend informed her brother that Shraddha had been unreachable for the past 2.5 months. After this, her father rushed to Vasai DCP to lodge a missing complaint about his daughter. Subsequently, the Mumbai police contacted Delhi police and the investigation continued.
