Indian Armed Forces One Of The Finest in the World Says IAF chief

Chaudhari acknowledged the Indian armed forces as one of the finest globally and highlighted their transformation to address evolving challenges.

Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari emphasized the transformation of the Indian armed forces to meet the challenges of the entire spectrum of warfare. Speaking at an event marking the 8th Armed Forces Veterans Day, Chaudhari praised the resilient spirit, leadership, and vision of veterans, which laid the foundation for today's armed forces. The event, held at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment, was attended by Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, senior officers of the three services, and numerous veterans or their family members.

Chaudhari acknowledged the Indian armed forces as one of the finest globally and highlighted their transformation to address evolving challenges. He particularly commended the growth of the IAF, evolving from a modest beginning 90 years ago to becoming one of the most formidable air forces worldwide.

The IAF chief expressed gratitude for the contributions of veterans, emphasizing their resilient spirit and vision as the foundation for today's armed forces. He also paid tribute to veterans who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari noted that the IAF has diligently reached out to its 2,21,204 veterans, acknowledging some teething issues and assuring continuous efforts to address them.

Navy Chief Admiral Hari Kumar also underscored the significant contributions of veterans to the armed forces. He assured that the armed forces would leave no stone unturned in carrying forward this legacy, emphasizing the Navy's commitment to the welfare of ex-servicemen. The Navy has focused on proactive outreach, positive interaction, and persistent communication to address various issues faced by the veteran community. Admiral Kumar expressed gratitude for the continued benefit of veterans' experience and wisdom, looking forward to their invaluable guidance and support.
