The national president of the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, tragically lost his life in Jaipur on a fateful Tuesday afternoon when unidentified assailants targeted him outside his residence, firing shots and swiftly escaping the scene.
Gogamedi was swiftly rushed to the Metro Mass Hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Alongside him, another individual named Ajit Singh, who was present during the attack, sustained severe injuries.
The distressing incident unfolded at Gogamedi's residence located on Shyam Nagar Janpath, around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, when two unidentified persons arrived. As Gogamedi emerged, they opened fire, hitting him with four bullets, as per reliable sources.
Subsequently, the assailants attempted to flee by attempting to hijack a passing car, but the driver managed to speed away, thwarting their plans. Undeterred, they then seized a scooty from a passerby and swiftly made their escape.
Law enforcement from the Shyam Nagar police promptly arrived at the scene and commenced a thorough investigation into the incident.
Gogamedi had a longstanding association with the Rashtriya Karni Sena, eventually parting ways due to internal conflicts within the organization and forming his own faction.
His prominence soared during the Rajasthan protests concerning the film Padmavat and amidst the controversy surrounding the gangster Anandpal encounter case.
