Farmers to vacate Delhi borders on Dec 11 after year-long protest ends

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Thursday said that the farmers' agitation is suspended and that they have agreed to vacate Delhi borders on Dec 11. The year-long protest will again resume if the demands are not fulfilled by January 15, 2022, farm leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni told news agency PTI. SKM has also said that the farmers have decided to offer special prayers at Golden Temple on December 13 to celebrate their historic win. The SKM, umbrella body that has been spearheading the farmer's agitation along the borders of the national capital over the farm laws and other demands of the farmers continued the agitation for around 15 months.

1. The SKM announced they will vacate the Delhi borders on December 11 and again meet on January 15. The farmers along the Singhu border have already started removing their tents

2. The SKM immediately organized an internal meeting to discuss the future course of action after they had accepted the revised proposal presented by the government.
