Delhi Witnesses Severe Decline in Air Quality Across Multiple Locations

Anand Vihar experienced a concerning surge in pollution levels, entering the 'severe' category with PM 2.5 at 438 and PM 10 at 359. However, NO2 levels marked 'satisfactory' at 86, and CO remained at 'moderate' levels, registering 118, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

At the Bawana station, PM 2.5 peaked at 480, with PM 10 at 451, both categorized as 'severe'. CO levels stood at 106, denoting 'moderate' levels of pollution.

Dwarka Sector 8's AQI monitoring station recorded PM 2.5 at 419 and PM 10 at 474, both categorized as 'severe'. However, NO2 levels were within 'satisfactory' parameters at 72.

The ITO station reflected 'severe' air quality, reporting PM 2.5 at 441 and PM 10 at 405. NO2 levels reached 195, while CO levels stood at 141, both categorized as 'moderate'. Similarly, Okhla Phase-II's PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels were 'severe', at 426 and 447 respectively, with NO2 and CO both registering 'moderate' readings.

At the IGI airport AQI monitoring station, PM 2.5 and PM 10 hovered within 'severe' levels at 404 and 406 respectively. CO levels were recorded at 120, denoting 'moderate' pollution.

The continued prevalence of severe air quality in numerous zones within the capital raises pressing concerns, necessitating sustained efforts to address and mitigate these alarming pollution levels.
