The air quality in the national Capital persisted in the 'very poor' category across several AQI stations on Thursday morning, reflecting ongoing concerns. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department reported a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius, aligning with the seasonal average.
For the day ahead, the weather department anticipated a maximum temperature of around 26 degrees Celsius with a clear sky prevailing in the city.
By 10 a.m. on Thursday, the air quality at various stations indicated concerning levels. At Anand Vihar, the AQI entered the 'severe' category, with PM 10 at 424 and PM 2.5 at 397, both falling under the 'very poor' category. NO2 was recorded at 133, in the moderate range, while CO stood at 95, deemed 'satisfactory' by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The Bawana station reported PM 2.5 at 424 (severe category), PM 10 at 388 (very poor category), and CO at 78, maintaining 'satisfactory' levels.
Dwarka Sector 8's AQI station recorded PM 2.5 at 369 (very poor category), PM 10 at 262 (poor category), and CO at 66, within 'satisfactory' levels.
At the ITO station, the AQI was categorized as 'very poor,' with PM 2.5 at 387 and PM 10 at 272 (poor category). NO2 stood at 106 (moderate category), while CO reached 80, considered at a 'satisfactory' level.
Okhla Phase-II registered PM 2.5 at 368 and PM 10 at 306, both classified as 'very poor.' NO2 measured 128, and CO was recorded at 106, both falling under the 'moderate' category.
