COVID 19: India records its lowest surge in new coronavirus cases in over 3 months

India reported 46,790 new infections on October 20, which were the then single-day lowest tally since July 23.

The downward trajectory continues for India as it registers 45,149 new COVID 19 infections in the past 24 hours, which is the lowest figures the country has seen since July 23 when it registered 45,720 new cases. After struggling from a continuous spike in coronavirus cases for the past 3 months, the COVID situation is looking more containable than ever. The country also reported the lowest death with 480 death reported in the last 24 hours.

Although the total tally of coronavirus cases have crossed 79lakh all over the country, things have started to look better as the downward trajectory has continued for several days now. With the recovery rate staying high up and the mortality rate squeezing as well, things are looking quite positive after a hefty whammy of community transmission.
