Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Army Colonel Sofiya Qureshi addressed each other at the press conference, explaining how Pakistan fired a missile at 1:40 a.m. towards an air base in Punjab, in an obvious breach of international laws. In a disturbing turn of events, health facilities and schools were also targeted in this attack. The briefing highlighted that although India carried out well-calibrated operations to dismantle terror hubs, Pakistan intentionally ramped up the situation by attacking both military and civilian infrastructures along India's western border with drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions, and fighter aircraft.

Colonel Qureshi pointed out the success of Indian air defense systems, which downed many projectiles, saving more than 26 locations—Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda—from being targeted. Pakistan's armed drones also tried to cross into Indian airspace near Khasa Cantt, Amritsar, but were destroyed successfully.

Foreign Secretary Misri also spoke about Pakistan's state-sponsored disinformation campaign, labeling the reports about India's S-400 system destruction and airbases in Sirsa and Surat as "outrageous lies." He asked the public and media to disregard such disinformation and remain alert to falsehoods.

In retaliation to Pakistan's firing on May 9 without provocation, the Border Security Force (BSF) took firm action, totally destroying a Pakistani post and terrorist launch site in Looni, District Sialkot, opposite the Akhnoor sector. The BSF confirmed extensive damage to Pakistan Rangers' equipment and reasserted its unflinching commitment to protecting India's sovereignty.

"Pakistan's naked attempts to subvert India's sovereignty and endanger lives of civilians are not acceptable. The Indian Army will continue to counter such hostile intentions," the briefing concluded.
