On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, marking a historic occasion where he played a key role in the grand temple ceremony and engaged in an 11-day special ritual, fasting, and austerity. This initiative is seen as an effort by PM Modi to establish Lord Ram in the minds of the people, emphasizing its significance during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
During the ceremony, PM Modi, along with BJP leaders and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, highlighted the importance of achieving several years' agendas. This effort is crucial for the BJP as it aims to secure over 400 seats with more than 50% of the votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The opposition parties are facing challenges in uniting, providing an opportunity for the BJP to leverage its initiatives.
The BJP has historically benefited from its association with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement since the 1989 Palampur Convention, except for the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha elections. This time, the BJP has linked Lord Ram with various themes such as national pride, Hindutva, nationalism, a developed India, and a vishwa guru, anticipating a positive impact on its popularity.
Following the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, the BJP plans to launch the 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Darshan' campaign for the next two months, inviting people from across the country to visit Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla. The party aims to facilitate the darshan for over 25,000 people every day, with a focus on connecting with devotees and showcasing its popularity.
The campaign is expected to have an impact nationwide, with the BJP eyeing gains in states like Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The party is capitalizing on the achievements of the Modi government, development initiatives, and welfare schemes to bolster its electoral prospects.
PM Modi is engaging in social engineering by mentioning not only Lord Ram but also other revered figures like Shabri, Hanuman Ji, Jatayu, and Nishad. He is also connecting with first-time voters, emphasizing the stability and prestige of India through their votes. Additionally, PM Modi is consistently addressing the concerns of four key sections—women, youth, farmers, and the poor.
The BJP is working towards a historic victory with the slogan 'Abki baar 400 paar' (This time, beyond 400) and has launched a campaign song focused on Modi's popularity. The party aims for a triumphant outcome in the upcoming elections, leveraging its initiatives and the appeal of PM Modi.
