BJP's 'Haryana Non-Stop' Plan: Rs 2,100 for Women and Job Guarantee for Agniveers

Releasing the party's 20-point manifesto called 'Sankalp Patra' (commitment document) for the October 5 Assembly polls in Haryana, Union Minister Nadda said, "For the Congress, this document (manifesto) is just a formality. For them, this document is just to fulfill a ritual and for them, this document is to cheat the people. For us, it's a commitment document."

Hitting out at Congress for promising Rs 6,000 crore scheme for Haryana, BJP national President J.P. Nadda Thursday formally kicked off the poll campaign with the slogan "Haryana non-stop" and promised a cash incentive of Rs 2,100 per month for women, continuing the MSP on all the 24 crops, government job guarantee for all retiring Agniveers from the Indian Army, and two lakh jobs for the youths, besides a cooking gas cylinder at Rs 500 and a scooter for girl students in the rural areas.

What was Haryana 10 years ago? The image of Haryana was getting jobs on the 'kharchi-parchi' system. For land scams, acquiring land of farmers, changing the land use.For us 'Sankalp Patra' is a sacrosanct document. We have been serving Haryana without break.

The main Opposition of the state, the Congress, had issued seven guarantees that it would fulfill in case it came to power in Haryana, which included Rs 2,000 monthly payment to women in the state and houses for everyone. A day later, the BJP made its manifesto public.

As stated in BJP's manifesto, Rs 2,100 per month to all women under Laado Laxmi Yojana, constructing 10 industrial cities on the lines of IMT Kharkhoda, offering special incentives to entrepreneurs for giving jobs to 50,000 local youth per city, under Chirayu-Ayushman Yojana free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh would be offered to every family and free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh to each individual more than 70 years of age and procuring 24 crops at declared MSP.

Promised "two lakh youth govt jobs without any slip and without any expense", employment for 5 lakh youths with a monthly stipend under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, 7.5 lakh houses in urban and rural areas, free dialysis in government hospitals and all diagnosis at free cost, Olympic Games nursery in every district, LPG cylinder for Rs 500 under Har Ghar Grihani Yojana, every girl student who goes to college in a rural area will be given a scooter under the Awal Balika Yojana, assurance of a government job to every Haryanvi Agniveer, orbicular rail corridor of KMP and launching new Vande Bharat trains and rapid trains services, including Intercity Express Metro between Faridabad and Gurugram.

Assures separate welfare boards with proper budget for small backward castes (36 communities), increase of all social monthly pensions based upon scientific formula linking dearness allowance (DA) and pensions, full scholarship to the students of Other Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes from Haryana studying medicine and engineering from any government college in India, the government will guarantee loans up to Rs 25 lakh for all OBC category entrepreneurs along with the Mudra Scheme for training modern skills by making Haryana a centre of global education, and international Aravalli Jungle Safari Park in South Haryana.

In the state, it is eyeing a hat-trick of wins under the leadership of Nayab Singh Saini, a non-Jat but OBC leader.

The last election was fought under the leadership of Manohar Lal Khattar, who was at the helm for nearly nine-and-a-half years till March 2024, paving the way for the next Chief Minister.

The manifesto was released in the presence of outgoing Chief Minister Saini, state party president Mohan Lal Badoli, former CM Manohar Lal Khattar who is now a Union Minister, and other top political leaders.
