The NIA has transported the suspects to an undisclosed location for further investigation.

Sources indicate that the arrest of these suspects marks a significant breakthrough for investigative agencies. They allegedly had ties to international terrorist organizations and were responsible for manufacturing bombs domestically and carrying out attacks with the assistance of local individuals.

According to sources, the NIA thwarted larger plans by global terrorist groups like ISIS to establish a network of operatives in India capable of carrying out attacks without the direct involvement of foreign operatives.

Mussavir and Taha, along with their associates, were tracked down by authorities while operating from within prison, following instructions from overseas terror groups. This intervention occurred before they could fully develop their capabilities to execute more impactful attacks.

Abdul Matheen Taha, an engineering graduate, is said to have designed low-intensity Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) with the intention of causing significant harm. On March 1, an IED planted by them caused extensive damage to the Rameshwaram cafe in Bengaluru, although no casualties were reported.

NIA sources reveal plans to delve deeper into the financial transactions of the suspects and their local networks.
