India reiterated its firm stance on Arunachal Pradesh, dismissing China's recurring claims over the territory as baseless. During the weekly press briefing, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh has always been an integral part of India and will remain so, regardless of China's assertions. This statement follows recent remarks by Chinese officials restating their claim over the region.

Addressing comments from the Chinese foreign ministry concerning the case of Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Jaiswal emphasized India's commitment to resolving bilateral issues with the United States without interference from third parties. The Biden administration's collaboration with India to hold individuals accountable for a plot to assassinate Pannun on American soil was acknowledged.

Regarding the UN Security Council's resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Jaiswal described it as a positive step, reiterating India's stance on deescalation and the protection of civilians in conflict zones. India's support for a two-state solution and the provision of humanitarian aid to Palestine was reaffirmed.

Regarding the Sri Lankan Prime Minister's visit to Beijing, Jaiswal emphasized India's monitoring of developments that could impact its economic and security interests, asserting the readiness to take necessary actions accordingly.
