Adani Defence Partners with Thales to Produce 70mm Rockets in India

In a big fillip to the government's initiative for 'Make in India', Adani Defence & Aerospace, the defence-arm of the Gautam Adani-led group, signed an agreement with the Thales Group for manufacturing 70mm rockets in India.

"We congratulate the Adani Group on this cooperation. We do seek further growth and success for the Defence sector in India," posted Thales Group on X.

"We are please to confirm a partnership with the Adani Group in India. We welcome opportunity to work together for on the delivery of Thales' 70mm rockets in India," the Thales Group added.

This collaboration thus happens to be a step of great magnitude in continued support towards 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives for the country's defense industry, the Thales Group further added.

Adani Defence & Aerospace, a group company of Adani Group, has been the leader in thinking, visualizing, and executing state-of-the-art defence products that offer superior performance.

The company had earlier this month signed a memorandum of understanding with EDGE Group, further establishing it as one of the advanced technology and defense groups in the UAE.

The agreement would focus on developing a global platform to drive the defense and aerospace capabilities of both companies, besides bringing together product portfolios serving global and local customers.
