Adam Mosseri is the head of the world's largest photo-sharing app, Instagram. Adam succeeded, Kevin Systrom- the co-founder of Instagram, as the head of the photo-sharing app in 2018.
Mosseri's title as the head of Instagram differs from the title of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as Facebook reserves the CEO title for the company's founders only.
Before joining Instagram, Adam served as an executive at Facebook(Meta).
Mosseri started his career at an early age, when he was just 20. In 2003, he started his own design consultancy called Blank Mosseri. His design consultancy focused on graphic, interaction, and exhibition design.
Later in 2007, Adam joined TokBox and was the company's first designer. As a product designer, in 2008, he joined Facebook. A year later, he became a product design manager, and in 2012 became the design director for the company's mobile apps.

From 2012 to 2016, Mosseri took care of Facebook's News Feed section. Later for around 2 years, from 2016 to 2018, he served as vice president of products for Facebook.
After the 2016 US presidential elections, Adam took upon the charge to be the voice of Facebook and present the company's stance on fake news.
In 2018, Adam Mosseri became Instagram's vice president of products. In the same year, Facebook (Meta) announced that Mosseri would assume the new head of Instagram. He became the head, following the resignation of founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in September 2018.
As the head of the company, Adam is expected to hire a new executive team to oversee all functions of the business.

In the year 2020, Adam was listed in the Tech category of Fortune's '40 Under 40' list.
Adam Mosseri was born on January 23, 1983, in New York City and raised in Chappaqua, New York. Mosseri, a Jewish attended New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study to study media and information design. He completed his graduation in 2005, in information design. While he was studying at New York University (NYU) he started his 'Blank Mosseri.' He is married to Monica Mosseri, and the couple is blessed with three sons. Adam lives in San Francisco and he is the elder brother of Composer Emile Mosseri.
