Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan, last seen on screen in Sikandar, has shared a few pictures of himself going for a swim. On Monday, the actor had posted three snaps on Instagram wherein he is posed in a pool with his torso bare.
In the caption, Salman had written, "Eello ji sanam hum aa gaye…………. Ab itna bhi gussa karo nahin jaani." These lines are a reference to the song "Eello Ji Sanam Hum Aa Gaye" from the old film Andaz Apna Apna, which was recently re-released.
This lighthearted blog comes in wake of Salman releasing that his latest show, Bollywood Big One, had been pushed back because of the tragic attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Publishing the news to social media, Salman posted, "In wake of recent Kashmir tragedies, with great sadness we have made the tough decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One performances, initially lined up for 4th May and 5th May at Manchester and London."
He continued, "Even though we are aware of how much our supporters were looking forward to these performances, we think it is only right to postpone during this time of bereavement. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause and sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the performances will be released in due course."
The glitzy show also features Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, and Sunil Grover.
Salman had previously condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam which left 27 dead, including one local. Expressing his sorrow, he tweeted, "Kashmir, heaven on planet Earth, is turning into hell. Innocent people are getting killed. My heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainaat ko marne ke barabar hai (It is as good as killing the entire universe by killing even one innocent person)."
The attack, which was blamed on the terror group The Resistance Front (TRF), a splinter of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was perpetrated following the revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir that nullified the special status of the state. However, TRF later retracted their claim, stating their website had been hacked and the message posted under their name was not authentic.
The attack has further fueled debate on the growing footprint of Pakistan-sponsored terror in the Kashmir valley. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has stepped in and is probing every aspect of the attack.
The attack has also strained India-Pakistan relations, and India suspended the Indus Water Treaty and opened the gates of the Jhelum river, leading to floods in Pakistan. The attack has once again brought into limelight Pakistan's sponsorship of terrorism in the region, which has been a longstanding issue, particularly since the USSR invasion of Afghanistan, where Pakistan played a crucial role in training the Taliban.
