Professionally, Rashmika had recently essayed Maharani Yesubai in her latest release, Chhaava, which released on February 14 on the big screens. The period drama has been getting lots of love from viewers, and the actress had spoken about it on Instagram sharing her views about portraying such a dominating character.

Looking back on her transition to playing Maharani Yesubai, she explained, "A South girl playing Maharani Yesubai. That was never on my list… never thought it could be done, and that's why I enjoy working with people who make us dream beyond boundaries. And then, the Maharani came along in all her splendor. She is strong, powerful, elegant—a true queen. Her love is something that I am so connected to—so pure, divine, respectful, and true that Maharaj and Maharani are bound forever beyond words."

She also showered praises on director Laxman Utekar, saying her warm thanks: "Laxman sir (@laxman)—I love you so much. I never told you this, but you are THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON I'VE EVER MET. I truly feel blessed to have met and known you. I don't speak much because I'm too shy to engage in conversations, but I mean every word."

While she is still basking in the glory of Chhaava's success, Rashmika is soon ready to move on to her next big venture, Sikandar, where she shares screen space with Salman Khan. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the highly awaited film is scheduled for a grand theatrical launch on Eid 2025.
