Maha Shivratri, a festival dedicated to honoring Lord Shiva, saw Bollywood celebrities taking to social media to express their devotion.

On the occasion of Maha Shivratri on Monday, several Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Rajkummar Rao, and Raveena Tandon, extended their heartfelt wishes, praying for “peace” and “prosperity” for everyone.

Kriti Sanon, fresh from the release of her latest film Luka Chuppi on Friday, was also seen offering prayers at a temple in Mumbai.

Amitabh Bachchan marked the occasion by sharing images of Lord Shiva, captioning them with the sacred chants, “Om Namah Shivay, Har Har Mahadev.”

Akshay Kumar, too, shared a photo of himself gazing at an image of Lord Shiva and wished his followers, writing, “This Maha Shivratri, may Lord Shiva bless you and your family with peace and prosperity.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, who is expected to attend a promotional event for her upcoming film alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in Prayagraj later in the day, kept her message simple yet powerful, tweeting, “Har Har Mahadev. Happy Maha Shivratri.”
