The producers of Kingdom, Vijay Deverakonda's high-octane action movie directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, have officially declared a new release date. The movie was initially scheduled to release on May 30, but now will come out on July 4, 2025.
Sithara Entertainments, one of the production houses working on the highly awaited film, released a statement regarding the postponement:
"To our beloved viewers, We want to inform that the release of our movie Kingdom, which was supposed to come out on May 30, is now postponed to July 4. We checked all avenues of adhering to the initial date, but new unexpected developments within the country and the prevailing atmosphere have made it hard for us to proceed with promotions or festivities."
The producers asserted that the alteration was done in the spirit of preserving the high quality of the film and providing a full cinematic experience.
"We believe this move will enable us to showcase Kingdom in the best manner possible, with the creative excellence and essence it deserves. We truly appreciate your support and hope to get your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4."
They also thanked collaborators who approved the choice:
"We're thankful to Dil Raju garu and Nithin garu for their understanding and encouragement towards making this change feasible. Jai Hind!! Kingdom in cinemas globally on 4th July 2025."
The hype for Kingdom has been building up steadily, particularly since the release of its powerful teaser. In it, Vijay Deverakonda is observed depicting a fierce, unrelenting persona—a person filled with intensity, born of hardship and meant to be powerful. The movie has the powerful tagline: "From the shadows of betrayal, shall rise a king."
Earlier known as VD12, the film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, with the editing being done by Navin Nooli. The production is being handled jointly by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas, with Srikara Studios releasing the film.
Joining the movie's robust technical crew are costume designer Neeraja Kona and choreographer Vijay Binni, who has choreographed the movie's musical sequences. The action entertainer has high-octane stunt sequences by three experienced action choreographers — Yannick Ben, Chethan D'Souza, and Real Satish.
Production updates have been on a consistent note, with the crew recently finishing dubbing work on the first half of the movie. With the new release date set in stone, fans can now eagerly await seeing Kingdom unleash its explosive fury this July.
