Hollywood actress Halle Bailey has sued her former boyfriend and father of her child, rapper DDG, for alleged abuse and obtained a temporary restraining order.
The Little Mermaid star, 25, filed court papers detailing instances of alleged abuse by DDG—real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry—during their relationship, People magazine reports. The restraining order, granted by Los Angeles County Superior Court, also covers their baby son, Halo Saint Granberry, born in December 2023.
According to the court order, DDG, also a Twitch streamer, should be at least 100 yards away from Bailey and Halo at all times. This is not limited to locations like Bailey's vehicle and their son's school. The two started dating in 2022 and went their separate ways in 2024. TMZ first reported the news of the court filing.
The request for a restraining order, obtained by People, includes written descriptions of suspected abusive actions that go as far back as January 2025.
"Realizing that placating Darryl is not possible, I can no longer tolerate this abuse," Bailey wrote in her complaint. In the allegations, she said DDG constantly bullied her through insults, including calling her names while they had their toddler with them. She mentioned he would call her "a bitch" or "evil" even when their son was around.
Bailey further accused DDG of having used his enormous online fan base against her. "Whenever he wants to make me upset, he begins badmouthing me to his many millions of followers," she declared in her statement. "He says that I am keeping our son away and that I am with other men. Because of this, I then get threats and hate on social media. He appears to try to create drama for his fans.". He goes 'live' ranting over me and accuses me of withholding Halo from him. This is not true. I have asked for a routine schedule, which he is refusing.
The case brings Bailey's attempts to find safety and stability for both herself and her son during a rocky and highly publicized breakup to the forefront.
