International celebrity Priyanka Chopra is again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons following a forthright scene from her American television show Quantico that went viral on social media, sparking public anger once again.

The said episode that aired when the series was broadcast between 2015 and 2018 features a Hindu as a terrorist character, prompting criticism—particularly during heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

The movie stars Chopra as FBI agent Alex Parrish, who discovers a plot only days before a crucial Kashmir summit. Initially, suspicion falls on Pakistani agents, but Parrish soon finds out that the real plotters are Hindu nationalists who are trying to frame Pakistan for a nuclear bombing of Manhattan. A key clue in the conspiracy is a rudraksha bead—a symbol of Hinduism—carried by one of the bombers, which enables Parrish to derail the plot.

The contentious depiction has again ignited intense debate on social media. Critics have complained that the episode misrepresents Hindus and unfairly portrays a religious community in a negative manner. The outrage has become louder, with many users taking to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration.

One fan uploaded the scene with the caption: "Remembering the Quantico episode where @priyankachopra foils a Hindu terr0r plot to slander innocent Pakistan Hindu terr0rist busted by her wears Rudraksha."

Another netizen complained: "Even if it's not a B-wood series, it's still an insult to the actress and the makers of this episode." More critical was the comment, "Chopri bhi anti national nikli."

Some others condemned Chopra for supposedly showing no loyalty to her culture and nation, with one of them writing, "@priyankachopra i thought she will be sensitive and loyal to her faith and country but sab dikhawa hai.why hindus are like this? strange."

This isn't the first that this episode has elicited outrage. When it originally aired back in 2018, Chopra experienced a similar backlash and apologized publicly. She had earlier taken to social media and posted:
"I'm deeply saddened and regret that some feelings have been hurt by a recent Quantico episode. That was not and would never be my intention. I truly apologize. I'm proud to be an Indian and that will never change."
