It is Bollywood star Varun Dhawan who has been quite enthusiastic about practicing yoga to relax stiff shoulders and chest muscles, saying it made all the difference in his life.
“The best stretch… Helps to open up the shoulders and chest. End with apnasana (knees to chest),” he wrote in the clip.
Recently, Varun posted a video doing various yoga asanas on Instagram. He did these with the help of his instructor, and it turned out to be a loosening-up exercise for his tightened muscles. He wrote that this had indeed worked a miracle for him, further addressing yoga as “the most beneficial healing element” in his life.
Varun pointed out the benefits associated with yoga, particularly increasing flexibility and relieving muscle tension. He said, “Yoga – stretch to be the best. Yes, that’s been the most beneficial healing element in my life. Iv had very stiff shoulders and chest muscles for a long time (sic),” he wrote.
He thanked his teacher for guiding him in this field of yoga. He spoke about how continuous practice of the same changed him as a person. He updated on the upcoming projects like an action drama titled 'Baby John' and other movies that he has lined up in his busy schedule.
“These asanas have really helped open me up and helped my digestion and sleep. It’s taken me a long time to reach here under the supervision of my teacher (sic),” Varun wrote.
Varun Dhawan inspires fans not only when acting but through his advocacy for holistic yoga to maintain a healthy body and mind.
