The Hollywood studio Sony Pictures has scheduled Tom Holland's fourth Spider-Man movie for July 24, 2026. According to entertainment news website Variety, the movie is to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" and is scheduled for release shortly after "Avengers: Doomsday," which is set to be released on May 1, 2026.
The movie news comes days after Holland, who has starred as Peter Parker aka superhero Spider-Man in three standalone films, said he and partner, co-star Zendaya have read a draft of the script for the new movie. During an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Tuesday, Holland confirmed that the fourth "Spider-Man" movie is happening. "Summer next. Let's shoot. Everything is good to go we're close. Super exciting. Looking forward!", he said.
Holland last acted as Spider-Man in 2021's "No Way Home," which brought together with him earlier web-slinging superheroes, who are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. As Spider-Man, Holland has also been featured in Marvel blockbusters like "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame." The actor was recently set for Christopher Nolan's next feature film.
