"It's happening," he said to Fallon. "Next summer we start shooting. Everything's good to go. We're nearly there. It's super exciting. Yeah, I can't wait."

On Tuesday, during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Holland revealed that Spider-Man 4 is actually on the works.

In another visit to Good Morning America, Holland teased out the fourth film: "It's crazy, little different to anything we've done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it."

On the Rich Roll Podcast, which dropped last week, Holland said he and Zendaya have already read drafts: "I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me.". It's actually me and Zendaya sitting down to read it together, and at times bouncing around this living room saying, "This is a real movie worthy of the fans' respect." But there are a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going, but it's exciting.

The film is said to have shed its director, with Destin Daniel Cretton now allegedly in talks to replace the filmmaker Jon Watts. This news broke last month exclusively for The Hollywood Reporter.
Watts helmed the last three of the Holland films while Marc Webb handled the two films based on Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield. Sam Raimi directed the trilogy of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.

Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are penning the script, and Marvel head Kevin Feige and former Sony head Amy Pascal are producing for Holland's fourth film, where it is unclear what the story will be - No Way Home ended with the world forgetting that teenager Peter Parker was Spider-Man, including MJ (Zendaya).

The three Spider-Man films were headlined by Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon for the films — Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, Spider-Man: Far From Home in 2019, and Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

Studio Universal announced earlier that Holland will star in Christopher Nolan's latest feature together with Matt Damon. The latter wrote the script and is directing the project. The studio set July 17, 2026, for the film to hit the screens.

He spoke during Good Morning America on Wednesday, talking about the exact moment he got the call about Nolan.

"When the opportunity came in, it was the phone call of a lifetime," said he. "It was like getting the call about Spider-Man 10 years ago. It's an amazing thing for me. I'm super proud and I'm really, really excited."
