Producers of the much awaited supernatural thriller Odela 2, helmed by Ashok Teja, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia playing the central character, released a statement on Saturday that the film will hit the screens worldwide on April 17 this year.
The film’s production team, Sampath Nandi Teamworks, shared the exciting news on social media with the message, “When darkness reigns and hope fades, ‘Shiva Shakti’ awakens. #Odela2 Grand release worldwide on April 17th. Get ready for a divine thriller on the big screens. #Odela2OnApril17.”
As the second installment of the Odela franchise, Odela 2 has generated massive excitement. The initial release of the series, Odela Railway Station, gave viewers an insight into the suspenseful life of dark forces and divine intervention. Directed by Sampath Nandi, the sequel follows through with the continuation of the story, with Tamannaah Bhatia retaining her character.
Directed by Ashok Teja and produced by D. Madhu, the movie has music by Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography done by Soundar Rajan. Rajeev Nair directs the art.
Earlier, the teaser of the film was out, promising a suspenseful story around the conflict between divine and evil forces. The teaser, having little dialogue, shows a spine-chilling confrontation between the two sides, with a tagline that declares, "When the devil comes to haunt, the divine also comes." The one line of dialogue that is spoken in the teaser, spoken by the dark power, is, "Water, fire, air, earth and sky… all five elements are slave to my might." This is followed by impressive visuals that show the divine forces facing up to the darkness.
Among the major reasons why the film is generating so much hype is the fact that Tamannaah Bhatia is playing a Saadhvi for the first time in her very long and fruitful career. She has never done this kind of role before, and people cannot wait to watch her perform.
Besides Tamannaah, Odela 2 has a stellar supporting cast that consists of Hebbah Patel, Dayanand Reddy, Yuva, Murali Sharma, Sharath Lohitashwa, Srikanth Iyengar, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy, among others.
