On the fourth death anniversary of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti memorialized her "bhai" and expressed in words the pain of helplessness she and her family suffer with the appeal before the authorities for transparency.
In an emotional post on her Instagram, Shweta spoke of garnering closure by saying, "For one last time, I want everyone to come forward and help us, so that our family can finally find the closure we deserve."
Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai residence in Bandra on June 14, 2020, with reports suggesting suicide.
Sharing an emotional video of Sushant cherishing moments with his four sisters, Shweta captioned, "Bhai, it has been 4 years since you left us, and we still don't know what transpired on June 14, 2020. Your death remains a mystery. I feel helpless and have pleaded with the authorities countless times for the truth."
I'm at the end of my patience, and I want to just give up on it today. But today, just one last time, I would want to request everyone who is in a position to bring about a change in this case to please put your hand on your heart and ask yourself one question: don't we deserve to know what happened to our brother Sushant? Why has it become political agenda? Why can't it be as straight as this is what was found that day; this is what is believed to have happened?
PLEASE, I am begging and praying—help us move ahead as a family. Grant us the closure we deserve. #sushantsinghrajput #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #4yearsofinjusticetosushant."
In another tribute post, Shweta referred to Sushant's acts of charity, questioning, "Someone who wore his heart on his sleeve -- was it a fault to be so pure and loving in this cruel world? It's been 4 years of injustice to Sushant. Does he deserve this?"
Sushant had been known for his various film roles in 'Kai Po Che', 'PK', 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', and 'Kedarnath' before his dead body was found, after which he appeared posthumously in 'Dil Bechara'.
