Sanya Malhotra took to her mother's creation – Renu Malhotra - and donned one of her outfits at the 15th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne for the premiere of her film, "Mrs."
Sanya took to Instagram where she shared some pictures of herself in a purple brocade outfit. She used color blocking for contrast as she paired it with a red brocade overcoat.
"This one's for you, Mumma. Since I was a kid, my mom has been my personal stylist, who would design and stitch my sister's and my clothes. She not only raised my sibling and me with great zeal but also managed to keep us updated on the fashion front."
She also mentioned that her mother always told her how she wanted to study in the sphere of fashion, but she could not afford to at that time.
"She just focused her creativity on dressing us beautifully. And actually, every big event I do, I still consult her about what to wear. So, when the invitation to attend the Melbourne Film Festival's screening of a movie close to my heart, Mrs.
